AI usage policy

Last updated: 11th October 2025

At the Confident Therapist Hub, we’re committed to transparency and integrity in how we create and share educational content. As part of our creative process, we sometimes use artificial intelligence (AI) tools — such as ChatGPT — to support idea generation, writing, and editing. This policy explains how and why we use AI, what it is not used for, and how we ensure accuracy, ethics, and data protection at every stage.

1. How AI is used

We occasionally use AI tools to:
  • Brainstorm and refine ideas for blog posts, newsletters, and learning materials.
  • Support drafting or editing for clarity, tone, or structure.
  • Summarise or simplify complex psychological or educational concepts while maintaining accuracy and nuance.

All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and finalised by a qualified therapist and educator before publication.

2. What AI is not used for

AI is never used to:
  • Provide therapy, counselling, supervision, or personalised professional advice.
  • Analyse or make decisions about individual users, learners, or clients.
  • Replace professional expertise, judgment, or human review.

We take full responsibility for the accuracy, ethics, and professionalism of all content published on our platform.

3. Human oversight and responsibility

AI may assist in drafting or structuring ideas, but all final materials reflect human expertise and oversight.
Every piece of content undergoes review to ensure it aligns with:

  • Professional and ethical standards in counselling and psychotherapy.

  • Educational best practice in adult learning.

  • Our organisational values of inclusivity, transparency, and care.

4. Data privacy

We prioritise confidentiality and data security.

  • We do not input, upload, or share any personal, identifying, or confidential information about our users, learners, or clients into AI systems.

  • We do not use AI tools to collect or process personal data.

  • Any content creation involving AI is based solely on anonymised, non-personal information or general educational themes.

Our use of AI fully complies with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK GDPR and data protection standards.

5. Our commitment

We use AI thoughtfully and responsibly — as a creative and educational support, not a substitute for professional expertise.

Our goal is to enhance the clarity, accessibility, and engagement of our materials while keeping human experience, empathy, and critical reflection at the centre of everything we produce.

6. Policy review

As AI tools and regulations evolve, we will review and update this policy regularly to ensure it remains current, transparent, and aligned with best practice.
The date at the top of this page reflects the latest update.
