Confident Therapist Hub
Training prepared you for the therapy room. No-one trained you for the business.
Where Do You Stand On AI?
A considered position on AI in therapy — including deciding it's not for you.
AI is arriving in therapy whether we invite it or not. Clients bring it into the room. Tools promise to write your notes. Everyone has an opinion, and a lot of it is hype on the one side or alarm on the other.
AI is arriving in therapy whether we invite it or not. Clients bring it into the room. Tools promise to write your notes. Everyone has an opinion, and a lot of it is hype on the one side or alarm on the other.
This course helps you work out where you stand — using a clear framework built around four questions: your purpose, your clients' privacy, how close AI should get to the therapy itself, and your professional responsibility.
If you've ever found yourself thinking:
- "Can I actually use ChatGPT for notes, or is that a confidentiality problem?"
- "What do BACP and the other bodies expect of me here?"
- "Everyone seems to have decided already; am I behind?"
- "Honestly, I'd rather not use it at all. Is that naive?"
You're not alone, and this course is for you. Deciding no is a considered position too.

See what therapists are saying...
As a therapist still in my first few years of private practice, I was intrigued to see what this course had to offer. As it turned out, I was experiencing many (if not all) of the 'symptoms' that newly qualified practitioners encounter.
The [Myth of the Confident Therapist] course content was exactly what I needed to see. From reflections on difficulties in the supervisory relationship, to ideas on how to avoid overworking, this has been an invaluable tool in my onward journey.
What sets this course apart from others is the reflective journal that I was encouraged to write alongside the theoretical content. Many other CPD courses simply speak 'at' the end-user. This course actively encourages self-reflection and deeper analysis.
I would strongly recommend the Confident Therapist Hub for any practitioner looking to become just that...... more confident!
The Myth of the Confident Therapist course struck a rare balance between personal reflection and external context.
A lot of resources miss the impact of marginalised experience, but this one didn’t, and I really appreciated that.
It was professionally designed, easy to navigate, and delivered on a high-quality platform.

The Myth of the Confident Therapist course was useful, interesting, and well-designed, thank you.
As an AuDHD therapist, it was so lovely to see neurodivergent therapists' processes explicitly mentioned and considered, not just an afterthought.
I think that will really resonate with a lot of other ND therapists. I also like the mix of academic references, so people can go and do further research.

About me
I'm a BACP-accredited therapist in private practice, with 25 years in adult education before that, designing qualifications and e-learning across health, education and technology among other sectors.
That combination is why this Hub exists. I read the data protection guidance so you don't have to dread it. I build software, so I know what the tools we pay for actually do. And I sit with clients every week, so I know these worries follow us into the room.
My promise: plain English, honest information, nothing sold through fear, so you leave every course and resource calmer and clearer than you arrived.
