Confident Therapist Hub
Training prepared you for the therapy room. No-one trained you for the business.

Confidence and clarity for the business, data and doubts of therapy practice.

The data protection. The website. The contracts. The policies. The AI tools. The records. The systems. The money. And the self-doubt that even experienced practitioners sometimes feel. These are the parts of practice nobody trained us for.

The Confident Therapist Hub takes those important areas of therapy practice one at a time and makes them manageable. Plain English. No jargon. Information that genuinely informs and clarifies rather than frightens.

Built by a working therapist, for therapists who want calm, confidence and clarity in the everyday realities of private practice.
Created by Joel Bild, MSc, MBACP (Accred)

Does this sound familiar?
✅ You're fairly sure you're "mostly compliant" with data protection, but if a client asked to see their records tomorrow, you're not confident you'd know exactly what to do.
✅ You know that there is something in the pipeline you should be thinking about, but forgot what it was! Was it the clinical will, the privacy policy, the website cookies function....
✅ You pay monthly for software and subscriptions you suspect you don't fully utilise, and you're starting to wonder whether they're earning their keep.
✅ You care deeply about your clients, but in a profession that seems to constantly ask for more, a part of you wonders whether you're doing enough.
✅ You're fed up with the hullaballoo around AI and would rather just work out, calmly, where you stand.

You're not alone - and that's exactly why the Confident Therapist Hub™ exists.

Where Do You Stand On AI?

A considered position on AI in therapy — including deciding it's not for you.

AI is arriving in therapy whether we invite it or not. Clients bring it into the room. Tools promise to write your notes. Everyone has an opinion, and a lot of it is hype on the one side or alarm on the other.

This course helps you work out where you stand — using a clear framework built around four questions: your purpose, your clients' privacy, how close AI should get to the therapy itself, and your professional responsibility.

If you've ever found yourself thinking:

  • "Can I actually use ChatGPT for notes, or is that a confidentiality problem?"
  • "What do BACP and the other bodies expect of me here?"
  • "Everyone seems to have decided already; am I behind?"
  • "Honestly, I'd rather not use it at all. Is that naive?"

You're not alone, and this course is for you. Deciding no is a considered position too.

✔ A plain-English picture of what these tools actually do with what you type
✔ The Four Ps framework: Purpose, Privacy, Proximity, Professional responsibility
✔ Three proximity zones for deciding how close AI gets to therapy work
✔ A position you can explain to clients, supervisors and yourself
✔ Created by a BACP-accredited therapist (MBACP Accred)

Includes reflective CPD, guided journal (Word doc or installable app) and a free standalone first lesson; try before you decide.

See what therapists are saying...

As a therapist still in my first few years of private practice, I was intrigued to see what this course had to offer. As it turned out, I was experiencing many (if not all) of the 'symptoms' that newly qualified practitioners encounter.

The [Myth of the Confident Therapist] course content was exactly what I needed to see. From reflections on difficulties in the supervisory relationship, to ideas on how to avoid overworking, this has been an invaluable tool in my onward journey.

What sets this course apart from others is the reflective journal that I was encouraged to write alongside the theoretical content. Many other CPD courses simply speak 'at' the end-user. This course actively encourages self-reflection and deeper analysis.

I would strongly recommend the Confident Therapist Hub for any practitioner looking to become just that...... more confident!

Henry Robertson-Nicol, Integrative Counsellor & Couples Therapist
The Myth of the Confident Therapist course struck a rare balance between personal reflection and external context.

A lot of resources miss the impact of marginalised experience, but this one didn’t, and I really appreciated that.

It was professionally designed, easy to navigate, and delivered on a high-quality platform.

Zena Nicholas, Counsellor & Founder of Counsellors' Staffroom

The Myth of the Confident Therapist course was useful, interesting, and well-designed, thank you.

As an AuDHD therapist, it was so lovely to see neurodivergent therapists' processes explicitly mentioned and considered, not just an afterthought.

I think that will really resonate with a lot of other ND therapists. I also like the mix of academic references, so people can go and do further research.

Why we're different

CPD that puts you first

We focus on you — the therapist behind the work — whether the worry is data protection, new technology, or the self-doubt that visits every practitioner. Plain English, no jargon.

Flexible & Accessible

Self-paced learning you can dip in and out of — mobile-friendly and inclusive by design, so it works beautifully on any device.

Recognised CPD

Each course provides structured CPD that meets UK professional body expectations and counts internationally.

Interactive & engaging

Courses include quizzes, interactivity, real-world scenarios & reflective tools that enable active learning.

Created by a therapist

Designed by a BACP-accredited therapist with 25 years' experience in adult education — someone who also builds software, so the technology gets explained from the inside.

Two kinds of confidence. One Hub.

Practical confidence

The frightening admin, demystified. Data protection and record-keeping. Client requests for their records. Clinical Wills. AI and new technology. Choosing & questioning the systems you pay for.

Worry turned into clear, confident knowledge.

Inner confidence

Because confidence isn't only technical. Impostor thoughts, self-doubt, boundaries, the pressure to market and be visible.

The human side of the work, taken just as seriously, with the same plain-spoken, reflective approach.

About me
I'm a BACP-accredited therapist in private practice, with 25 years in adult education before that, designing qualifications and e-learning across health, education and technology among other sectors.

That combination is why this Hub exists. I read the data protection guidance so you don't have to dread it. I build software, so I know what the tools we pay for actually do. And I sit with clients every week, so I know these worries follow us into the room.

My promise: plain English, honest information, nothing sold through fear, so you leave every course and resource calmer and clearer than you arrived.
